Building a full model portfolio
When a portfolio needs range, the styled sessions add wardrobe, a stylist, and hair and makeup, with several looks in one day.
- Creative Session, $1,350. Three and a half hours, up to six outfit changes, up to three backdrops and 15 fully retouched images.
- Style-in-Motion, $1,950. Five hours with the full team and 25 final images. The editorial session, for portfolios that need movement and fashion together.

What agencies look for
Digitals should be honest: clean light, minimal makeup, fitted clothing in a solid color, and hair off the face for at least one frame. Portfolio images then show range in expression, movement and styling. We direct you through both, so you do not need experience in front of a camera.
How to prepare
- Fitted basics in black, white or denim, with heels or clean sneakers.
- Minimal makeup for digitals. Add our hair and makeup artist for portfolio looks.
- Any requirements your agency has sent. We plan the hour around them.
The studio
Ashkan Image is at 1502 Sawyer St #108, inside the Silos at Sawyer Yards in Houston, with lighting, backdrops and a designer wardrobe on site. A live view monitor runs through every session, so you see each frame as it is taken and adjust while you are still in position.
